Frequently
Asked Questions
-
Yes, I offer a free introductory call. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy and whether working together feels like the right fit.
-
I work with individuals aged 16 and over.
-
That is completely okay. Many people I work with have not had therapy before. You do not need to know exactly what to say or have everything worked out before you begin. Therapy can start simply with a sense that something feels difficult, stuck, or no longer sustainable.
-
Yes. Feeling stuck can show up in many ways — emotionally, relationally, or in work and day-to-day life. Therapy can help you understand what may be keeping you stuck, make sense of underlying patterns, and begin to work towards change.
-
Sometimes therapy has not felt helpful because the timing, approach, or therapeutic relationship was not quite right. That does not necessarily mean therapy cannot help. Finding the right fit matters, and an initial consultation can help us think about whether my way of working is right for you.
-
Yes. Therapy with me is not only about understanding what sits beneath your difficulties, but also about helping you work through what is happening now. This may include developing greater awareness, responding differently to familiar patterns, and finding practical ways to manage what feels difficult.
-
This depends on what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping for from the work. Some people come with a more specific focus, while others want space for longer-term exploration. We can review this together as the work develops and in an initial consultation.
